Is Obama an American citizen? Can he truly be the President?

I have continued to see writings that say that Obama was not born in the US, even though an Hawaii birth certificate has been posted online.  Recently, another blogger wrote that he had definitive proof that Obama was born in Kenya.
What do you think?  Was he born in the US or abroad? What proof should be made available to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, where he was born?
Do you think people running for office (local, state, or national) should be required to present a copy of their birth certificate?

Of course he is american. It is sick how low political parties will stoop by spreading lies about their opponents. Inform yourself. Don't just take what the Fox news pundits say as the gospel.

Let's get real. The state of Hawaii has produced his official birth certificate. The matter is settled. What's going on here is is hate. If you keep repeating a lie loud enough and often enough ignorant people will believe it. Let's move on.

It's not only where you are born that makes you a citizen. Lets say your parents were on vacation in Germany when you were born. That don't mean you are a German citizen because your parents are United States citizens. Obamas mother was a United States citizen, so, that makes Obama a citizen of the United States. Nice try yo-yo!

I think that this whole "birther" phenomenon is cutivated out of fear.

Fear that Obama is foreign, different, alien and he has some "eeeeevil" agenda to take away people's rights and lock them up in camps and turn the government into some socialist state

I have NEVER seen ANY president (rep or dem) that has been confronted with this "we need to see some ID" crap, because we've never had this problem before, hmmmm, I wonder why?

    What does this scream?

I have said it before, I'll say it again, it's racial (I know some will say: "I'm pulling the "race" card") yeah ok, whatever.

then why even after the Birth Certificate is readily made available online for verification, there are some who STILL say "it's not real"?

Which is what I KNEW from the very beginning, no matter WHAT THE HELL HE DOES they won't be satisfied!

There is NO form of Identification he could present that will shut them up, because the fact of the matter is some people CAN'T get over the fact that we have a black President

I feel sorry for any other minority President that ever takes office down the line, because they'll go through the same thing

I really wish the crazies would stop with the insane notion he was born in Kenya when the birth certificate has already been ruled as authentic. Please stop it it is totally ridiculous that we are still on this issue. Get a life already if he wasn't born in the US then he could not have ever even been a senator no less run for president. For those still trying to prove this point get over yourself already and accept that like it or not he is your president too. You don't know how ridiculous this makes you look as well as embarrasing for all Americans so please move on to something else.

What I wish is that Obama's mother Stanley was here so that she can have a press conference so that the crazies would stop spreading such inaccurate information. But she is not so please for the love of GOD do something positive with your energy like create energy saving inventions or volunteer to help the needy or elderly. Plant a vegetable or something find something worth doing and talking about that is objective and that contributes to the well being of everyone democratic, republican, independent and non voters as well.

Try common sense. During the election primaries, the Clintons tried to find anything and everything they could on Obama. If he was not a citizen, don't you think they would have exposed that in a heartbeat. They had eleven hired detectives looking at every thing the man ever did or said and why. They even talked to people in his kindergarten class !

When a candidate announces he is running for the Presidency, the FBI must give clearance. Don't you think that just maybe the FBI would have noticed he is not a citizen?

Then what needs to happen to make the "birthers" believe that Obama is a citizen, and therefore, the legitimate president? Or, is it that there's nothing that will convince them?

I guess, I'd like to hear from some who don't believe, why it is that they don't, and if there's anything that could make them change their minds?
