write about beauty? Do you think of yourself as a beauty
expert?
Shine is looking for 20 users to be a part of our Beauty
Advisory panel! As a Shine Beauty Guru, you'll test products
before they're on the market, write reviews, and have access to
top industry experts. You'll also influence millions by
providing input on the hottest beauty trends of today and get
featured in our Fashion + Beauty
Channel.
To try out for our panel, write a short blog post (200
words or less) on the topic, “The one beauty product I
couldn’t live without.”
Tag your post "Shine Beauty
Panel". Deadline for entries is
Sunday, July 5, 2009.
Here are some hints of what we're looking for in a winning
entry:
- Well-written, thoughtful or funny, that reveals a bit of
your personal style
- Spell-checked and grammar-checked
- Use of an image that enhances the story. Take your own
photos or upload them from a service like Flickr, where applicable. Please give
proper photo credit.
- Concise. No more than 200 words.
Check back after July 5th. We'll be leaving a
"Congratulatory" message on your post if you've been
selected to be a Shine Beauty Guru. :)

WHAT BEAUTY ITEM I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT
The one beauty item that I could not live without would be my lipstick. Mind you, it does not matter what color it is, I have dozens of colors in my make-up bag. They are all there waiting to be opened and applied, depending on my mood. I wear red when I am feeling fierce and daring. It makes me feel confident and on top of the world. I wear purple when I want to make my lips pop and add drama to an outfit. I feel strong knowing I can pull it off and wear it with confidence. When I am feeling quiet and pensive, I wear pink, it makes me feel feminine and girly. No matter what the color, when I open the case, turn the tube and see the wax like substance come into view, I am drawn in by the beauty of the tint, the scent of the lipstick. I put it on and I am transformed, I go from a plain Jane to a vibrant and beautiful woman. I am on top of the world, I am strong, I am invincible.

Shine Beauty Panel
The one beauty product I couldn’t live without is Athena 7 minute face-lift cream. It is the best product I’ve ever used to completely refresh and “youthify” my skin before I go out. I am 46 years old and am always mistaken for someone in my thirties and even twenties sometimes, so I know a thing or two about rolling back the years. It would shock me to find out about any skin care brand that I haven’t tried. I love trying new products! All I have to do is wet the brush that comes with the cream, dip the brush in the cream and paint it in upward strokes lightly all over my face. Then I rinse my brush, and remain expressionless for seven minutes. I can immediately feel a cool tightening on my face. When I look in the mirror seven minutes later, I can’t believe how much better I look. All the day’s stress, wrinkles and dullness are just washed away, back to the face I looked upon at least ten years earlier. Try this product once and you’ll be hooked.

Hey Brenda,
I've just recently wrote a piece for this contest and put in shine beauty panel in the tags but its not showing up on the page with the rest of the entries. Any clue why?
