Journalism

I'm going to a college prep high school that teaches you stuff that will prepare you for the "real world." One of my elective classes is journalism. I took this because I'm interested in pursuing a career in journalism. however, my friends say that it's not a wise choice to do this, because journalism is a "declining career." This has caused some confusion as to what I should do after college. more importantly, what I'm going to major in. so, what I want to know is: Is it worth it? Should I really be taking these English classes and taking on extra honors work in english if there's really no future in journalism?

Please follow your heart. If that's what your desire, then follow it. The most important is, after you graduated in college and landed a job, you love what you are doing.

I don't believe that there are careers, courses, skills, etc., that is declining in this world. This is a big Big BIG world.

    Go with the flow.
