We know that a bad day can seem like heck. Those days, when we just want to lay in bed and try to feel better, are gone. I was alarmed to read that the article advertised for us not to try to feel better. The article suggested that when you have a bad day, do all the things that you have been putting off. You know, those things that you hate to do? Make a list of the things that you have put off due to procrastination. Work the list! Try to get as many things on your grudge list that you feasibly can.
The chronicle went on the suggest, we just do things, that we should have been doing all along. Things like: Go through the house. Rip all your sheets off the bed and wash them. Scrub the walls and floors. Paint the garage. Take time to sit down and pay the bills. Make your doctor’s appointments. Clean out your car. Mow the lawn.
I was not impressed, at first, by the suggestions. I mean after all, who wants to do all those calamitous things in the first place? If I am upset, I just want to punch a hole in the wall. Hey, maybe a kick boxing class would help out? I understand the sentiment behind the article’s advice. I was not able to imagine, at first, anyone willing to try this. I spoke to a friend of ours on Yahoo! Shine. She said , It did make sense.
The narrative progressed, to account to us, to relax, after an extremely productive day. I would be amazed at how many things that I normally procrastinated about. I am wondering; if I take the advice -- “Would I be surprised by how much I was able to get done, all in one day?”
At the end of the article, the author continued to explain that instead of being a victim to our bad day, we should make it very prolific. The writer closed by recommending, we refresh our "bad day” to do list, for the next time we get bent.
I am questioning, if it would work. I will try this the next time I have a bad day. I would imagine, I could save the world having that attitude. I will not try to make my day better. I will make my day worse. This sounds like it could be fun. When I have a bad day, I feel like saying: “Kiss my Glass!” I am going to make this count!
How do you cope with a bad day?
Would you consider: making your day worse, to have a more productive day?
Or, would you still want to eat chocolate ice cream
and cry in front of the television?
