Life

user

Life is a winding road, a path, the journey one must take to get to.......where? where does the roads, the paths, the journey, and all other silly metaphoricals for life take us? where does it all end? how does it all end? what is after this? ahh the ultimate question: what happens after we die? only the dead know. but many claim to know what happens: recreation, Nirvana, heaven, ghosts. Whatever the explanation, no one really knows. but i believe it is simple, that the thing that happens after death is so obvious and understandable that it must be true: we're dead. and thats it. there's no "watching over," no guiding, no haunting, no being reborn. we're just dead. dead dead dead. which brings us to a pressing question: what does being dead mean? it really just means we're dead. like, dead. like nonfunctioning-unconscious-not-alive dead. its just dead. there is no meaning in it. its like gone. except its not. gone is gone from the current place, or a certain place, to another place. dead is like gone, but not anywhere else.  ah well. i guess it happens to the best of us. just live your life, i say.
