  AMEN! The part that really gets me is that even though most families need both incomes, the chores are not distributed equally. It's bad enough that we don't get paid the same but now we have more work waiting for us at home. God forbid that he take out the trash or do some laundry. It's just crazy.

  I think that it has to do with the moms. We moms have to teach our sons that housework is something that EVERYONE HATES but it just has to be done. Just because you have a Y chromosome doesn't give you privileges to do less work around the house, but rather, you should have the emotional backbone to be able to do your part around the house as well. You "built" the home together, then together you should be able to keep up with the chores and maintain it.

  I mean really, if one of you is tired from all of the work then how do you expect that person to want sex? I mean isn't that the ultimate goal of men on a daily basis? You want sex. Then you need to help out and do it CHEERFULLY!

  I've got one of those, though I have to agree that males who behave like real men are few and far between!

  A long time ago, I remember telling my bff about him, specifically that I had NEVER opened a door I'd walked through while within his presence. She gasped at my statement, and hearing her gasp caused me to think, and reflect upon what I had found in this awesome and wondrous guy!

  He's got an identical work ethic to my father's: from sunup and coffee until the poor body just can't GET any more done or dark-thirty. My darling has recently moved into a new pad, and in the process of organizing his stuff, had the new driveway blocked (yesterday!) and I couldn't pass by him to reach the house when I arrived. I had brought dinner: one of those roasted chickens from the grocery store (now rapidly cooling!), seafood salad, chocolate-drenched cheesecake...

  I waited.....

  More than an hour.....

  When he was finished rearranging stuff, and the driveway was again clear, I served my man a cold chicken dinner, and he loved it!

  Then we watched a movie.....

  Then we ate our cheesecake.....

  Then the rest is NUNYA....! (o;

  It is NOT his job to pay all the bills - my income is only a portion of his, but I have ZERO problems giving him my paycheck, because he's the reason for the roof over my head, because of the stockpile in the refrigerator and pantry, because I know the bills are paid timely, and because he provides so much more for me than I ever could do for myself, so yeah.... I am happy to have his dinner on the table after work, keeping his house clean, etc. and so forth...

  Our Society Is Screwed Up:

  Men (AND women!!!) need to stand up and be accountable for their actions, and responsible for those around them, and quit this self-centered ME ME ME ME ME bull crap! Show respect, wait patiently for your turn in line, (raise your hand if you think you know the answer, here - we ALL learned how, by 1st grade or so!) be decent, kind, and polite - there is always going to be someone out there having a rougher day than you are. If your life is full of crap, YOU are the one permitting it all to continue, and YOU would also need to be the one to be in charge of breaking the cycle and making corrections. Quit wallowing in pityand swimming in despair!

  (I hope the last paragraph wakes some peeps up, and makes some of us others realize that there IS a better solution than chaos and insanely stupid action that seem to be the norm in today's warped world...)
