MTC- Day 2 3/10/09

user

Day 2: completed. Motivation: still here. Awake factor: not lively.

Day 2 started out with a 5:30am spinning class. Yes, I know that this is not a party of the program, but spinning is one of the little joys I have in my life, and I decided before I started the program I was not going to give it up. Thus, 1 hour of spinning has replaced my Jillian workout for the day. I guess I am just breaking all the rules now (ugh). Fortunately, I know that spinning is a great workout. Plus, I limped around all day and had a terrible time getting up and down the stairs at work from being sore, so I must be doing something right!

As for the food part of the program, all I can say today is "um...I am pretty sure I didn't cook that right." My breakfast was this egg white and oatmeal thing listed in the book. The recipe tells you to warm up the egg whites until they are "pleasantly" (seriously) warm but not gelled. In all honesty, I wish they would have been gelled because the runny, snotty-looking stuff, although not too bad tasting, was definitely disgusting. Maybe people lose weight on this program because they lose their appetite lol. Anyway, my eating today was definitely controlled, healthy, and I even turned down a beer! AND a brownie No, I am not an alcoholic (kind of am a sugar-addict though), but I do enjoy a drink with friends every now and then. I have self-control! I always knew it was there lingering under the surface!

I have one concern after Day 2. I am so stinking tired right now. I have been working 12 hour days and, even with going to bed at 8:30pm, am having a hard time staying focused and awake at work. Perhaps a little sleeping-in tomorrow since technically it is a "day-off" of working out.

So workout grade: B (not an A because I didn't follow the program)
Diet grade: C (still need to go to the store, but controlled my appetite today and turned down beer and brownies)

On to Day 3!
