My Cancer Status

user

Some people have erroneously thought I had breast cancer.  I do not.  I was signed up to help a cancer organization with one of their fund raising walks and fully intended to participate, but I was very worried about the fact that I have a hard time walking.  I ended up pulling out of the fundraiser.  People have assumed that I had cancer because of the fundraiser, but I have never publicly said I had cancer.  My mother is a long time cancer survivor.  She lives in California.  A dear childhood friend of mine died of cancer at the tender age of 31.  I signed up for a mammogram because my mother and grandmother have both had breast cancer.  I am anti-abortion so I was reluctant to get help to pay for the mammogram from the "Show Me Healthy Women's Program", because last I knew they were associated with planned parenthood which is pro-abortion.  I don't currently have health insurance so I have curtailed my cancer screenings.
