My Favorite Toys!

    Okay, so as you can tell I am a foodie!  I love what I do!  Fortunately when you are in the food business you have the opportunity to turn something you really love into a career, not just a JOB! - Don't get me wrong, having a job is great, when you go home you don't think about the job, you have the job so you can make money for the fun times in your life.

     For me and people like me, it is so different.  We live for our work!  I am sure this is true for other professions.  It is not just about the food for me - I love pulling the food, equipment, people, trucks and everything that goes into producing an event or just an afternoon drop off lunch.
Oh, I started this with my favorite toys!

A Hand Held Mixer - not just for making shakes. We have 2 sizes, the home size that is about 11 inches tall or so and a 3ft version that never leaves the kitchen.  They work great for soups, sauces, purees....

We make a lot of cream reduction sauces and on occassion they break on location.  I am a strong person, but standing over a sauce with a whip for 15 minutes trying to get it back together is a little much for me.  With the hand held - it takes about 1.5 minutes!  Heaven!
