My update. Nothing much, just life and unexpected things.

Brandy survived her surgery. I'm relieved and drained, both at the same time. She requires so much time and energy, usually when we get comfortable doing something and she decides its time for us to drop everything and walk with her outside--so that she can look around and sniff. She just wants to make sure she is getting back in the house.

I love my little girl and want to give her the best quality of life to the end.

That's her in the foreground, our (late-beloved Charlie in the background).

Good news is she's alive and well. I think she's got another 3 to 4 years left in her. My neighbor has a tape showing a woman with a 25 year old dog and a 35 year old dog. Can you imagine? That's a life committment.

Between health issues and costs of basics and medical stuff,  our heads are in a spin. But God is looking out for us and nobody has anything serious going on, nothing a couple of pills and a stiff drink can't take care of.

Our grandson is doing great. He's just about 3 months old now and getting pudgy legs and arms. He's 23 inches long now.

He  (Sam) likes to sit propped up, but can't quite sit up on his own now. This is a picture of him in a baby swing. He really likes it.  His eyes are beginning to turn green. I'm tickled. I've got hazel green eyes, my son-his daddy, has green eyes, his mama has big brown eyes. And he has his mama's beautiful long, long eye lashes!  He also has her tint of redness in brown hair.  But then, this grandma had auburn hair before she turned a year old, so he has a good mix of genes.  I hope he didn't get all the allergies though.

Take care my Shine friends. D

Thank you J. Glad to hear from you. Seems I get overly concerned with "CATCHING UP" on my sleep (never really happens though). I stay tired, drained-got a sinus infection-they said not to breathe on the baby. My son and his family went out of town-I fed the family dog for them.

    Thanks for stopping by. d.

Hi! Cute baby, How blessed you all are! What was wrong with your dog? And what breed is she? My sister and hubby are headed back up into the mountains for the fall season. They had to make room reservations when they were up there last time in order to have a place, everything gets booked solid for the fall season. Most of the time they camp but she said it got too cold up there for them in the fall. They will "ride" the Dragon's Tail again...they LOVE it! "Old Bikers Never Die" LOL!

Thanks J. I'm full of thoughts and doing well enough. It's all up to me. Going to change this girl around-re-invent myself. (yeah-right). Sounds good!

I'm online, just that computer stuff takes too much time. Facebook mostly too. Think I'm giving up my farm, doing yoville only a little longer since I don't 'chat'.

    Hey Denise,

So nice to see you back on Shine. It's been way too long. So glad Brandy is doing well. My two girls died at age 14. It's never easy to lose someone you love; human or animal. And, Sam is getting so big! What are you feeding this guy. Just love chubby little legs.

You have yourself a wonderful weekend. That's nurse's orders. I'm going to kick back and hopefully get over this cold I've had. Going to spend time with Jacob doing perplexus puzzles, painting, and working on some copy for some business cards I'm trying to design for someone on Shine who contacted me. I've only designed one business card in the past so this is a challenge as she wants two. I love a challenge though; it gets my blood flowing................. Take care, my friend.

    Much love to you,

    Carol

Hi...just passing though. My sis and hubby did not make their fall run to the mountains, bike tire trouble??? Anyway she took the trip $$$$ and they expanded their front deck and put a roof over it She said there was a report they heard(don't know the source) that there was 6" of snow up on the mountain where they would have been and a large rock/mudslide that closed the road and will take 6 mo. to clear and repair. She is loving the larger covered deck, so for them at least, "all's well that ends well." How's baby Sam, growing by leaps and bounds I bet!And how is Miss Brandy doing? Did you get her a new companion or she your only dog now? Got to run! ;0)
