National Pride as We Look Forward to Veteran's Day

When I was growing up, we would always look back to our forefathers as the people who had faith in God, but I am happy to say that I feel our current generation having lived through such extreme conditions with the near total collapse of our financial systems has come back with a renewed faith in the man upstairs.  I think it is lovely to see renewed pride in our country and a stirring of the deep faith and moral values upon which our great nation was based. As the great novel "A Tale of Two Cities" states "It was the best of times. It was the worst of times".  I think our dear Lord is polishing the diamond which is our country.  It takes a lot of pressure to make a beautiful diamond, but its worth it when you see that beautiful blinding sparkle as the outcome.  I was never more proud than when I watched our fine president give that beautiful stirring eulogy this afternoon for our fallen troops.  Truly we are blessed to live in this great time in the history of our blessed nation.
