So years ago many women were clueless about makeup or how to put it on. You had to get a beauty product recommendation from a trusted friend or you wouldn't buy it. Finding your perfect skin care regime was not only time consuming, but money wasting as well. But now we know that Youtube has become a main source for finding our beauty answers. There are hundreds of both women and men uploading videos on skincare, makeup, beauty products, beauty tips, and more. They call themselves "beauty gurus" or "beauty smarties". I discovered these beauty gurus while searching for videos about makeup. I wasn't expecting to find so many people out there sharing these videos, and sharing their beauty knowledge. But it turns out, if you know a thing or two about makeup, have a video camera, and a Youtube account, success can come to you eventually. These beauty gurus get thousands of subscribers, and also get an opportunity of becoming a Youtube partner, which means that Youtube will pay them for the videos they make as well. To me, it sounds like a sweet deal, and as a subscriber to many of these beauty experts, I think it's a great thing. No longer do you have to search for makeup workshops, or have to experience the horrifying clown face your grandmother gives you, when she tells you "she is a makeup expert". I have learned many things from watching all of these people and their videos. I know what to buy, what to stay away from, and what will fix my common beauty mistakes.

Youtube Beauty Gurus have also done quite well in the past few years, one of my examples would be Lauren Luke. Her Youtube channel has gotten her quite far, and she started out doing makeup videos and several looks. She now has her own makeup line "By Lauren Luke", which is being sold at Sephora right now! She recently published a book as well, which I think it's pretty amazing. As much as I don't know about her, besides her current success, I believe she started our like many people on Youtube. I congratulate her on all of the success she's been having.

She also has some amazing eyeshadow palettes selling right now at Sephora, which are also at a good price. She is one of the many examples of average women who become successful from something they love to do, whether it's as simple as makeup looks. Some of the best products I've found have been from recommended from ladies in the Youtube community. It's definitely a new trend and a very helpful one at it too. The simple idea of having someone teach you something on video (FOR FREE) is very nice to have. Compare this to trying to imitate a makeup look a magazine does with step by step pictures. Or even trusting companies with their own websites claiming a product is good.

So in conclusion, I guess the point of this article is to thank beauty gurus who are on Youtube and showing them support. Many of them are talented, and October is surely the month to check them out! Many of them are doing costume/makeup looks just for Halloween for all of you who are clueless this year.
