Long have I wondered if my Creative Writing degree would ever serve
me in good stead. After having been out of college now for... 5
years (holy crap, has it been that long?), I'm still paying off
my student loans and wondering if I hadn't wasted those years
on a frivolous pursuit instead of learning a more economically
viable skill. Sure, I've landed an okay job as a proofreader,
and for awhile I thought it seemed a pretty good career,
but recent economic downturns have seriously affected my place of
employment, and nothing is certain anymore.
On a whim, I applied for a position for a website as a
semi-official journalist. Doing local stories on a subject near and
dear to my heart, namely COMIC BOOKS! And to my elated surprise, I
got the gig! Its not a position that I can live on or will make any
serious money with, but it does have possibilities of payment, and
its good experience. And I get to write about a subject I love.
Sounds great, right?
Well, yeah. Except it seems too good to be true. I don't know,
I haven't even really started yet. But I do feel anxious. They
want me to submit 2-3 articles A WEEK! That's quite a bit. I
love comics, but do I have enough to say about them to sustain that
much output? Comics can get pretty spendy, and I certainly doubt
they'll re-coup my expenses to stay current with all the
new titles and such. And already I've got ambitious ideas to
make this really be something worthwhile, but I could
be getting ahead of myself.
I do hope this pans out. To actually become a professional writer,
even marginally so, would be completely awesome.
Wish me luck on this people. This might be a life-changing
opportunity for me.

You write very well (much better than most of us here) and I'm sure you'll do great. It's especially exciting that you get to write about something that you have a real passion for. Report Abusehi dan this is leann well i read your blog and i like it and come you write me in three hours ago dont you need you sleep well what can i said about thhe writing i wish you so much luck and it wont hurt to try to do what you love doing isnt that what we all work to do what we love and get payed for it so it will be the comics do you do the comics maybe you can tell me about it what comic you will do or if did is just the beganing and you dont know what comics you would do and it is ok that you couldnt talk to me last night i dont think i was on it and i like hereing from you you are easy to talk to i want to know how you loss your aunt because i want to said im sorry for your loss and the pain of losing someone you love i hope you are having a good day and you feel nerious well that make sense to me but you are so good and i think you will do great
