Penelope is Praise-Worthy

Penelope, the movie starring Christina Ricci, is worth a look-see if you haven't yet.  I was surprised by all of the actors performances as they were all out of the ordinary.  Christina Ricci as a sweet pig- faced girl instead of some gothic scary movie star.  Reese Witherspoon stars as a free- spirited hippy- chic girl, which I find very different from her many roles as a housewife or down- right sweet southern bell. 
But of course, then there is James McAvoy, always the gorgeous romantic, making his lover swoon over him and always doing the right thing.  Although the sex appeal of his character was not as much as say, Atonement or Becoming Jane, it was still irresistible and definitely going down in my book of hot characters to dream about.
Overall cute movie!
