If you want to become a professional Hip-Hop dancer like this talented group, try to follow these simple guidelines:
First, take dance classes of various forms. Although common sense tells you to focus on Hip-Hop, you have to remember that its steps are mostly drawn from different dance forms, such as tap, modern jazz, interpretative, ballet, etcetera. Mastering these styles will greatly help in making you a better Hip-Hop dancer.
Second, try to make a choreographed dance routine for your group.
Third, work out your body. Make sure that you build strength, stamina, flexibility. Remember---we are developing a long, lean physique here. Hip hop dance often requires you to isolate poses in midair for several seconds. Aside from this, you need to be strong and flexible to perform the stunts that Hip-Hop is known for. A lot of dancers will tell you that a typical Hip-Hop dance routine is comparable to running at a high level of speed for four minutes or much longer.
Fourth, try to join a Hip-Hop dance crew. Not only will you learn valuable tricks and techniques, they will also help you improve your form and style.
Mastering Hip-Hop like the Philippine All Stars is easy if you follow these steps and make every effort to remain consistent and determined in your training. Soon, you will see the results of all your hard work.
