An Independent Voter's voice:
For better or worse, Obama is going to be in charge for a while.
He's our new manager. I voted for him. History will tell whether I
will be ashamed of this fact or not.
Obama is an outrageously excellent speaker, an intelligent man,
both eloquent and flexible. He has given us all hope for unity.
He's inherited a ridiculous mess, in all respects, through the
calamity of Bush mismanagement as well as the circumstances of
the world of today. I also voted against every incumbent
- republican or democrat, simply because they've stopped making
sense in Washington, they've stopped working together, and thus
stopped leading.They forgot that our
representatives are there for us, not to be inflexible nut
jobs. I was and still am, outraged by the bailout. If they were to
bail out anyone, it should have been the homeowners, rather than
simply lining the pockets of the bankers. Hopefully Congress will
get the message that it doesn't matter how much they are given by
the big companies, in the end, we can and will vote them out of
office if they screw us.
The question is whether Obama will be able to deliver on his
promises
On the Republican party, they say that they are financially
responsible, that the Democrats tax and spend, but what I've seen
from the Bush administration is that they borrow and
spend, to the point where we are so deep in debt we may never get
out of it.Yet they are critical of Americans who have gotten
themselves into too much credit card debt and face
forclosure. Give me a break! The difference between Democrats
and Republicans is that Democrats first get the money, then
spend it, while Republicans generate huge debts. I cannot
conclude anything except that debt is a very Republican fiscal
policy! I'd rather pay more now to avoid saddling my
children with debt for the programs we are demanding
today.
Time's up. God Bless every Citizen of the U.S.! Make your voice
heard! Write your congressmen, tell them your opinions.
