- Varying the sex positions can help too, as mentioned above; if you put her on top she can help you learn to control yourself by lifting off of you or ceasing movement when she feels you are getting ready to ejaculate. Most women are happy to help you learn to last longer in bed as it benefits them as well! Women are also more likely to experience more powerful orgasms when they are in the dominant position as they can get more stimulation in the right spot.
Wear a condom
- Wear a condom - the thicker the better. If you are so sensitive you ejaculate within seconds, a condom can muffle the sensations and reduce your tendency to go off like a rocket. This is a good plan if you have a new girlfriend - you don’t have to do a lot of explaining right off the bat, and she will feel safe and respected since you choose to ‘suit up’.
Quick Fix - More foreplay
- Do a lot of foreplay first, and get her as close as you can to orgasm - then put her on top for actual intercourse. This will allow you to put her in control of the actual act and leaves you free to lay back and concentrate on techniques such as deep breathing or distracting thoughts. Missionary style is the hardest position for men who are trying to delay orgasm, so switching it up can help a lot. Try sex in the ‘spooning’ position as well - it forces you to work a little harder and prevents deep penetration.
Pressure on the "taint"
- Pressure on the perineum or ‘taint’ (the place just behind your scrotum in front of the anus) can supposedly help men with PE - although the few times I tried it I went limp and lost my drive. Some say this is because you don’t stop the orgasm, you just divert the ejaculate back into your bladder.
The Classic: thinking about something else
- Thinking about something else (like problems at the office, bills or Oscar the Grouch) only worked for me when I was really tired, and kind of spoiled the moment for me. I mean, sex is kind of about leaving the world behind for a while, isn’t it?
Use desensitizing cream or spray
- Again, the idea is to dull the feeling just enough to keep you from tipping over the edge right away. This method has the advantage of allowing closer intimacy with a trusted partner and you can apply it easily - just make sure she’s not sensitive to any of the ingredients. Alternately, combine applying a desensitizing gel and using a condom to avoid desensitizing her through transfer of the substance.
Antidepressants
- Antidepressants cause difficulty ejaculating, which makes them a possibility for treating PE - I wasn’t willing to go on a daily dose of medication, but for some men this has worked. Not one of the recommended techniques to last longer in bed.
c--- rings
- c--- rings are touted as the perfect solution to PE - but seriously? Ouch. I tried it once, and yes, I lasted for quite a while but it was due to pain. Not my cup of tea, but if you like that sort of thing…
This technique, which combines squeezing the PC muscles, rolling your eyes upward, touching your tongue to the roof of your mouth, and visualizing your sexual energy flowing up through your body while you practice controlled deep breathing is one of the most effective ways of delaying ejaculation. It's a Taoist sexual kung fu technique that has the added benefit of helping you circulate your sexual energy through your body rather than having it remain hot and heavy in your genital region.
