Public or Christian School?

So tonight while my boyfriend were talking about kids we got on the subject of which schools they will go to. Me Iv always have seen my kids just going to public schools. I figure if you keep them in sports, church and teach them right from wrong they shouldnt pick the wrong type of people to hang out with. Thats how I was brought up..and my parents even said if they didnt know my friends parents I was allowed over to their house..which I thought was so unfair at the time but now that Im a parent myself I see where they are coming from.

My boyfriend thinks that when we have kids they should just go to a Christian school. I dont have a real good reason why they shouldnt..He says that he wants his kids to learn about God in school..which I agree but even then the teachers are going to teach those kids what they think..not the way I or my boyfriend thinks. So the teachers could say one thing and I could diagree with the way they are teaching. I think that if you want to teach your kids about God YOU teach them..that way you teach them how you want and teach them what you want. Anways he blows up at me and asks why am I defending the public school system..the people that want to take God out of everything. I did respond..I told him im leaving and left it at that. Like I said I dont really have a good reason as to why my kids shouldnt go to a Christian school. I just figure you teach them right from wrong and let them go about.

I tried Yahoo Answering the subject but didnt really get any answers..So what do you think? Are Christian schools better then public?

honestly, in my own point of view, it doesn't really matter if its Christian school or not because knowing God doesn't really depends on the school. Yes, maybe somehow percent of the growth of a child is contributed by teachings in school but to know God in a personal encounter, should start within oneself most likely at home that's when the role of the parents play.I agree that education starts at home. And it would be better if before sending yer kids to school they have already known God in a personal way so they can also be an instrument for the expansion of Gods Kingdom and be a channel of blessing spiritually to their friends in their respective school.
