  Satan only wants to destroy... He doesn't necessarily want our souls for the same reasons God does.. Satan is just so angry and rebellious against God that he wants to destroy what good God has made.... and if God told Satan to back off then we as God's creation wouldn't have a choice to follow Him. It would be like taking away free will. God wants us to decide to turn from evil on our own and the only way we can decide on our own is if the choice is there in the first place.

  There is no bet between them. Adam and Eve made that choice when they ate the fruit from the tree. Their eyes were opened and they were conviced by satan that they could be like God or better.

  God loves US! We as humans need to make a choice on who we will follow. God or satan. I prefer to follow the one and true God, who I know has my back when I need him.

  HE can stop what is happening in this world but HE want man to wake up. Make the right choice. Read your Bible. You will get all questions answered. GOD bless and he does.

  There are so many questions a person can think of when it comes to god and heaven and all that but in the end it all comes down to just believing in it all! You just have to believe in god and make good choices in life and, if you believe, you will end up in that "better place"! Good luck & God bless! =)

  God is a spirit. That is why we can't SEE him. I am a parent, yet I will not SUPPORT my adult children, unless there is an emergency.

  God has given me the ability to do things on my own. Why would I mooch off of him?

  If my parents were still alive, I would not do that to them.

  I have no sure answer to this, but as you stated there have been stories pasted down about God and satan making an agreement to see if how many souls they will have at the end of time.

  But I also thing that this started when satan fell from Heaven, he and his crew of fallen angels help to reek chaos on this earth. Remember too that God designed us to have freewill and angels as I understand it do not they were made to honor Him. So when they fall from grace there is no turning back and saying sorry. As for us we have many an opportunity to ask forgiveness. Maybe that's where this whole thing started!?!
