"The Thirst" Part 1: DEATH???

    "How much further?!" Megan yelled from behind me. My legs were starting to hurt after almost an hour of running. The distant rustling of branches from a ways away told us our pursuer was gaining fast! I saw Megan running towards me, she was slower then me so I had to stop for her to catch up. 
   "The bridge is almost a mile away! But we're never gonna make it!" I snapped at her, frustrated from the fact that we were about to die! The rustling got closer! I heard a thick snap of a tree branch. Megan and I turned our heads and saw the silloeute of the creature! The moonlight streamed through the tree canopy, we could finally see his face! Absolute beauty laced with blood-thirsty menace! Six and a half feet tall! His long black hair soft as silk and unmoving, like a statue. His flaming red eyes paralyzed you completely. The white skin like ivory. His flawless beauty made him all the more horrifying! His pale, lush lips were smeared with blood and pulled back to reveal a animal-like, blood-stained smile! The fangs were razor-sharp and I knew how easily they had sliced through Jerry's throat, like a knife through butter! That was her blood on his mouth! The image of watching him rip her apart made me want to fall to the ground and weep! The vicious vampire roared like a lion and stalked towards us, there was no way in heck we would make it! Megan started to back away, but she tripped over a tree trunk. She sat on the ground, paralyzed with fear. The vampire looked at her, then to me. He growled and jumped at Megan, because she was weaker and she wouldn't be able to move as fast cuz she was on the ground. "NO!!!" I screamed. I had no clue what I was doing, all that I knew was I couldn't let him kill Megan like he did Jerry! I jumped at him, latching onto his back, he roared in anger and threw me like a ragdoll! I hit a tree and I felt a sharp agonizing pain in my left arm, I looked and saw the bone of my fore-arm jutting out through the skin! It was a gruesome sight! I could feel the pain, but only just, the adrenaline rush was still scorching! I grabbed a big, broken branch lying on the ground with my right arm and threw it at the vamp. It hit him in the back of the head; he didn't flinch but it made him mad! He bolted towards me and hit me in the stomach. Just before I crumpled to the ground, I sreamed at Megan: "RUN!!!" I saw her get up from the ground and made a break for the trees, going South, towards the bridge. If she made it to the bridge she would be safe. The vampire kicked me hard in the side and I yelped in pain. He saw Megan running and he turned to chase her, but I grabbed his ankle and he drug me along. It wasn't until I grunted when my face was scraped by a thorn bush that he realized I was attached to his foot. He grabbed my hair and put his hand around my neck, he threw me against another tree. When my head hit the hard bark, things got all fuzzy. The vampire approached me, hunger flaming in his eyes. I knew what he was about to do! He leaned down to me, fangs extended, and he sunk his long canines into my throat! I screamed in pain. He pulled away, stood and ran to chase Megan. My throat was burning and I watched in horror as my blood spilled out across the ground. The world around me slipped into blackness as the burning grew worse and worse. Finally... a dark abyss comsumed my mind and everything went numb... and fell threw emptyness... and embraced... DEATH???
