Reality Show Brings Children into the Mix

"Bachelor" is setting poor standards for single parents
-Jennifer Lubell, BettyConfidential.com

I think we all can agree that The Bachelor is a very silly show.

The premise is demeaning enough: Take 25 otherwise beautiful and successful women, and reduce them to a bunch of catty, sniveling wrecks as they compete for the attention of one guy. Since its debut in 2002, the show's producer, ABC, has found numerous ways to humiliate these needy Stepford Wife hopefuls.

It's especially cringe-inducing when a bachelorette is wined and dined on a romantic one-on-one date, only to find out that after several hours of sheer bliss, the Bachelor is denying her a rose, and she's packing her bags to go home.

I wondered if ABC could stoop any lower this season, and low and behold they have, by bringing young children into the mix.

To read more about The Bachelor, click here.

I enjoy seeing Jason and Stephanie on this show as devoted and responsible parents. I don't enjoy seeing the others. If Jason

doesn't pick Stephanie, then she should become the next Bachelorette.

I have a feeling that Jason is going to pick Melissa. They seem like

the best match. Stephanie would be fine too if Ty can handle the

competition. I sure hope he doesn't pick Deanna. I could never see

them as a good match. I'm very happy that Jesse found a better match

for himself. He and Holly look really happy together. Jason is my favorite Bachelor. I hope he will find the perfect match and live happily ever after. As far as the show goes. It really needs help.

It's like a deck of cards with the same script and similar situations.

Only the faces change. ABC should do a complete overhaul of the show.

It's not working so well for anyone. There's only been one marriage and

the show is somewhat boring. I could almost tell you word for word what is going to be said and what the next step is going to be. It's just like a play but with different actors. Also the women mostly make fools of themselves. I suspect they use body doubles when filming some

of the swimsuit scenes. The show should get some new writers and select woman with more character. If you need help with this ABC, then

you can contact me...it's my profession.

I totally disagree with you. I think it's a great show and Jason is sincere. If you actually watch, you would see that they have shown Ty 2 times and only for a few minutes. Jason is a smart guy and he is not going to screw himself. I think you need to hate a little less.
