Sarah Palin blows off Oprah Winfrey

And, in the days leading up to Election Day, Palin did very minimal press.

Now that the election is over, and extensive appearance invitations have been extended to Palin, she’s accepted many offers—but completely snubbed Oprah.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over,” Winfrey tells Extra. “I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me."

Is Oprah worried Palin will avoid the biggest daytime talk show forever? Not a chance. "Maybe she'll talk to me now that she has a [multi-million dollar] book deal," says Winfrey. Think Oprah will offer Palin up a spot in her book club?

Sarah Palin may be blowing off Oprah, but the host is determined to have some other, more prominent political figures back on her show. "There's always an open invitation for the president-elect and first lady," she says.

Watch the clip below. Do you think Palin is avoiding Oprah because she’s intimidated and knows the host is a staunch Obama supporter? After all, Winfrey is taping her talk show from Washington DC during Inauguration week.

Don't ya think that perhaps Sarah is too busy to worry about whether Oprah believes she has been snubbed. Sarah is proving herself as a true professional, reserving her voice in a venue that counts. Watch her go for it .... Sarah is now UNLEASHED. I love it.

Oh yeah, Sarah's unleashed...to discuss her outtings while she sips coffee as turkeys are chucked into a slaughtering machine behind her and she frantically searches for all that clothing she was supposed to give away but didn't.

So, why was it such a big deal that Oprah wouldn't have her on her show before the election if Sarah was only going to refuse to go on the show after the election? It's not like Oprah was having every other politician running for office on her show EXCEPT Sarah Palin.

Oprah said a long time ago that she refused to have people who spread hate and intolerance on her show because she wouldn't give people like that a platform on which to spread their hate. Sarah Palin is a homophobe and an preached intolerance of non-Christians while accusing Obama of being a terrorist throughout her campaign. I'm not sure why Oprah would ask her to be on her show in the first place, but I'm sure she's not losing any sleep over Palin chickening out. Oprah has far more power and influence than Palin ever will (and that's what Palin's snub really comes down to).

She's avoiding Oprah as she knows that the questions will be tough. She is plain scared of Oprah, so she only talks to the 'yes ma'am' crowd. The ones that fall at her feet no matter what she says.

Oprah would make her look like the person she really is. She knows that this would not be a pretty sight. I think the questions would be on her wardrobe, her involvement in getting a police officer fired and other behavior unbecoming of a person in office.

Palin and difficult questions do not mix well. She has proved that on the campaign trail, so she is taking the easy way out and with it showing her true colours. She is being pettty, but we knew that

Really --- who cares what Oprah wants. She is a talk show host - thats it.

If she openly endorsed my opponent -- and did not provide me a open voice when I needed it -- I sure would not go on her show afterwards.

    Please.....

I tend to watch Oprah every chance I get. I gotta say though, IF Palin were to be on I would not tune in. I cannot stand to hear her voice any longer.

Dispite all of you Oprah haters, Oprah does NOT need Palin for anything!!She is successful now and will continue to be after Palin's 15 mins of fame. What has Palin done for the poor or the average everyday person?? Oprah's list is long and she will continue to do for all of those in need...(and she's does NOT need your votes)

The thing about Oprah is that she donates so much of her own money every year, some of it even goes to causes that help the stupid, ignorant, and racist, like that idiot a few posts up.
