Save Money in Portland/Vancouver: Purchasing VS Renting

You might be thinking that you are ready for a storage container especially with all that junk you’ve been looking at every day.  The next question weighing on your mind is: Do I buy or lease a shipping container?  The answer is simple if you are in the business of saving money; you buy.  It would make more sense to purchase a used cargo container and convert it into a storage facility.  Not only will you save money but you will have purchased an investment you could likely sell if you don’t need it anymore.  Most companies that sell used cargo containers provide a guarantee that your container be wind and water tight.  This is important for security purposes and not to mention to keep your valuables clean and dry.  The only step you might have to do is consider add-ons which will be shelves for organization, lock boxes for added security, perhaps even a new paint job. You will pay less to have all of this done and have the container delivered to your site than you would pay to rent a container each month.
