Oh, my goodness! Can you believe this website? I actually wasn’t going to check it out because I thought it would be like everything else I’ve already seen but… Wow! Shine is pretty interesting! My positive slang words for Shine are “bangin’”, “spankin’”, and “groovy, baby, yeah!”
It’s colorful, has interesting articles, and it’s SO easy to create posts.
So far, the article I’ve seen that’s caused the most buzz was the one about Mariah Carey’s feelings on adding children to her life. (Okay, we have global warming and “glass ceiling” issues, but this is where we are attracted…hmmm…)
Good grief, ladies! Let Mariah do what she does best, and quit hatin’!
A couple of the articles that caught my attention were about sexism in the office (hey, aggressive is NOT a bad thing…as long as you’re getting what you need and you’re getting ahead without stepping on feelings and toes) and the “Work At Home Mom” title syndrome (the word “Mom” conjures up images of harried women in wrinkled, grape jelly stained clothing – not the image of a professional woman – I don’t care how talented and pretty you are).
I saw some other stuff here, but, well…hmmm…nope. No other comments.
New subject: I started web surfing late the other night after I finished loading new jewelry into my web store…Wait a minute. (Shameless plug alert!) I forgot to mention that I’m an Artistic Jewelry Designer who makes eye-catching, creative and artistic jewelry – believe me, you’ve got to see it to know what I’m talking about. (It took me 17 years to come up with that descriptive sentence!)
Yes, I do want you to visit my online jewelry store – http://www.marquina.etsy.com - but here’s my other reason for mentioning the store:
I’ve got to give a “shout out” to someone I added to my favorites in Etsy last night. This someone took time to check out my jewelry and sent me a wonderful comment and he goes by the seller ID, KahunaKenny at http://www.kahunakenny.etsy.com.
This guy paints beautiful, colorful Hawaiian scenery on the tabletops. Positively gorgeous! Check out the “Blondie Girl Hula Table” below:
Thanks, KahunaKenny, for acknowledging my favorites addition by sending me the comment that I “make some beautiful jewelry and art”. You made me smile!
By the way, ladies, one of the answers to the economy and to global warming (in case you’re interested) is to start your own home business making your own products and supporting other people’s home businesses. You have SO got to check out http://www.etsy.com for some wonderful handmade items!
