Shine recognizes great user posts!

As Shine enters it's 8th week since launch, I've been thrilled to see how you've responded to our editor's call for well-written posts. You've really turned up the quality dial while writing about things that matter to you - informative and insightful subjects that inspire all of us to write our best.

Here are a few of those featured posts on Shine:

Sexual harassment in school - what's the long-term impact on education and career? by Shine user Micki LeSeur

Why are commitment issues so debilitating? by Shine user Rita

Comparing nutrition: Cow milk vs. non-dairy milks by Shine user Stephanie Quilao

Shine wants to feature more user posts, but some are being overlooked because they've been miscategorized. To help give your post the most exposure it might be moved to a more relevant category. The post will still be on Shine and on your blog page, but it will now be up for feature consideration. That means more visibility, more feedback, and more conversation!

Congratulations to everyone who has been featured and we look forward to recognizing Shine's next great posts!

Perhaps you can help me understand the "updates - chatter on shine" many of them are blank...

Also is there a way that we can nominate great entries for editorial recognition?

I love using Shine to chronicle my start-up entreprenueal adventures and would sure like to read articles and blog posts from chicks in similar situations...

I have to tell you, that I just started (this morning) my Blog. I feel like I've finally got a place to talk about issues that have been bugging me and not be mocked. And, while my first blog may be short, It's the start of my wonderful new journey!

I just wanted to express my enjoyment of "Shine". As I am retired, this is my morning cup of coffee spot. I find it interesting to read all of the different ideas and life stories out there. I comment on the ones I feel I can add to in an interesting way. Again, three cheers for this site!

I, too, really enjoy this site, but agree Kate's comment and also wonder why so many of those updates are really just ads. Does anyone look at those before putting them in the updates box? One this morning was some strange comment about someone liking underwear. Those are time wasters if we only have a few minutes to surf!
