SNACKS!

My daughter is in the first grade this year.Lots of things are different  for instance the snacks.Last year you only had to provide a snack and drink for your child each day. This year one day a month you have to provide a snack and drink for each child in her class so that is 25 snacks  and drinks once a month.I do not understand that at all.Makes no sense. Also she has a homework assignment due every Friday! My son Nathan had brought home homework for ME to do today for his music class wanting to know the best concert I have ever been to so he can share with his class. I mean really?!?Who cares about what concert I have been to speacially a bunch of 4th graders, they probably dont even know who Robert Plant and Jimmy Page is!!!!!!
My oldest son son is not home yet, can not wait to see what his teachers have in store for me!!!!

A lot has changed for kids in school, these days. I remember when my friend was living with my family and me, her two oldest kids, had to take tissue boxes for their classes. My friend also got letters stating, that on certain months each parent would be asked to send supplies for an art project or any other type of project. I guess with the lack of funding for the supplies needed for schools, the schools are looking to the parents to provide most of the things needed in the classrooms. I wonder what would happen, if a parent could not afford to help out a class, would the school get mad?

Have a good evening, Shannon. :o)

    Good morning ☼

    *Happy Saturday*

    Much love to you

I went through the snack thing. Its not bad.

I have to send a snack EVERYDAY!

It not cheap. The once a month snack thing is alot cheaper than sending your snacks everyday for just your child.

Start making the snacks with peanuts in them, they won't ask you again.

That was mean, I know!!!!! But true.

GBR!!! Sup Shannon?! That's a normal snack thing here in WI, since both my kids started school, sucks, I know. Not doing it at all this year, since my husband is losing his job. Too bad, GBR! Habanero had a great suggestion! Way to go, now Pimpn' is asking me to go to Yoville-can't, screws up my computer! My kids start school this week-FINALLY!!!

That was some dumb home work. I almost fell of my chair about the concert comment! Its a ploy to see what kinda person you are. You should make some really "goody goody" stuff up, or something really strange.
