I chose to do this site in hopes to purchase distressed properties and fix them up for families. I had taken a look at homes in just my area and counted several abandoned homes. When you get a chance while you are out and about, why don't you do that. Take a look around you. What do you see?
How about Chicago? I had gone through Chicago a few times and have seen run down apartment buildings. Why?
When I was living in Indiana a saw many abandoned homes, buildings and even schools. Why?
All of this is not only WASTE, but it could be put to good use. Used for people who need them.
The Government has made many cuts to make up for the money lost in the bailout.
Why didn't the Government just take that money and use it for something like this?
I know that it is going to be a lot of work, but I think that if I can get my networking friends and my family to help me out on this, that I can make a difference. As a team we all can make a difference.
This site started August 23rd, that is when I started building the site, I had put it out for people to join August 25th. I am now at 94 members and it is still growing. I would like to make this site truly huge. Paying members for recruiting, 10% of the profits. Saving 30% of the profits to fix up homes, buy homes and house homeless families. 15% of course goes to the government to pay for taxes, there is no way around that. The rest is divided by the partners I have recruited to help me. So far I have two others and myself. I don't expect to become a millionaire doing this, however I do expect to atleast help one family in the next five years. I also expect to get media attention as my site grows and I am able to help a family out, here in the United States.
Yes. All money will stay right here in the United States.
I am also seeking business sponsors, what will business sponsors get? Recognition.
A personal mention on my site. The ability to post links to their websites, put up their own profile and so much more. The minimum sponsor ship I am asking for is $25. Doesn't seem like a whole lot of money does it. Well for what they get in return I figured that it was not a whole lot to ask for.
I am also seeking most importantly Realtors that are interested in Sponsoring this site. Realtors will get the same opportunity as Business owners, but they will be the first I go to for purchasing homes for my projects. I thought that this would also be a great idea. However, businesses and realtors may sponsor more money if they would like.
So let's get these children off the streets and help the families grow and prosper. No not grow as in multiply, but grow as in give. Grow as in accept, Grow as in help themselves become better at managing and taking control of their lives. Let's give them something to work hard for.
Let's give them a roof over their head.
I had stated it this way, because a homeless man once had said to me, he was not homeless, he had a home. He was just without a house. It really made me think about what he meant. I was clueless. He then said, "I have a home here on the streets with my friends and family." A house does not create a home, but only shelter. Friends and Family create a home.
That made lots of sense to me. Now. With that said, why not just check out the social network, it won't cost you anything to join. You don't even have to stay if you don't want to. Just sign up and check it out. There are plenty of things you can do there. We have games, groups, chat, blogs, stories, jokes, pictures, dating area, business and finance area, even a mini store. You could even have your own little mini store. It is all worth checking out. Just click on the badge and come on in.
Thanks and God Bless.

Report AbuseI agree that the United States could do a heck of alot more than they're doing to help these people. Granted, there are some homeless people who WANT it that way, but the majority of them don't. I wish they could take some of those buildings and do the same thing with them. We're the richest country in the world and we still can't help our people??? Or is is that we WON'T???? If it were up to me I'd help everybody one way or the other. I hope things change for the better down the road.

Report AbuseYes, I agree on helping less fortunate people. For example, I was like so many others had a good paying job, house, car, good credit. In 2004, my life changed loss job to overseas, house went into foreclosure, and credit went downhill. Today I live with my mom, I had to give gardianship to sister because I had no housing or finances to take care of them. I went to many non profit agencies for help to help me, but they told me that their funding was low or non at all. From 2004 to 2009, I'm still not where I should be, but I thank God that everyday I wake up, I can try to find some way of creating a self-sufficiency or a contingency plan for myself. I would love the opportunity to become an investor in Cleveland, Ohio where I live and would buy homes and rent them to low income and homeless people. If there is any networking ideas about my ideas please send me an email: miranda4944@yahoo.com
