Son of Cthulhu...Part 2...
As Kyle continues to stare at himself in the mirror, he hears Cthulhu call to him again.
My child, you will be one with the others and myself soon, do not fight your true calling, says Cthulhu.
A image of Cthulhu show it self on his bathroom mirror and this angers Kyle, his anger builds.
He puts a fist to the mirror and it shatters into hundred of pieces, he looks at his fist.
Kyle has cut his fist up pretty bad and then to his horror, the wounds begin to heal.
The blood that was flowing from his wounds, absorbs itself back into his body.
What the he!!, did that happen because of the blood of Cthulhu?, thinks Kyle.
He can no longer just stand in his bathroom, Kyle decides to go to his laptop.
The laptop is the key to answers he needs to find, the net must have a place that knows of Cthulhu.
Kyle uses yahoo to search for any websites that mention Cthulhu, there are many and one catches his eye.
The title of the website is what gets him curious about it, "The truth: Cthulhu the old one lives".
Is this place going to be legit or just another website created by some D&D nerds with too much time on their hands, thinks Kyle.
Taking a risk, he clicks on the link and a strange website appears on the screen.
The homepage has a picture of the true Cthulhu, not some made up drawing of the creature.
Kyle checks the links on the right of the page and spots the one he wants.
It is a link to a page explaining the reason for the website.
Clicking it, he reads the introduction to the site and about the society dedicated to the end of Cthulhu.
Finally, answers, now let's see if this society has a e-mail to contact them at, thinks Kyle as he searches for the e-mail link.
He finds one and he clicks on it, then his e-mail account pops up, Kyle begins to write.
Kyle tells of his dream and what is happening to him, it takes him an hour to finish, but it gives him relief.
He hits the send button and it goes off to the in-box of the society and now all Kyle can do is pray they reply back fast.
D@mn, I cannot take this waiting, I better go pick up the mirror pieces, thinks Kyle.
Kyle goes to the kitchen and finds a broom, then tries to locate a dust pan, he find one under the sink.
I wonder how long I will have to wait to get a responses from that site, thinks Kyle.
As he goes back to the bathroom, he hears Cthulhu speak to him again.
You will not be able to resist my call, you have already been prepared for your true purpose.
No!, I am not going to serve you, vile creature and I will find a way to stop you, thinks Kyle.
He returns to the bathroom and cleans up the mirror pieces, then dumps them in the trash.
Kyle takes the trash out and then returns to his laptop, he decides to get some writing done.
He works on his new book and half way through, he decides to trash it.
"D@mn, it seems to hard to concentrate on writing, what to do," says Kyle aloud.
He tries again to work on his new book, but gives up after typing a few sentences.
Kyle checks his e-mail and finds a new one has been sent to him.
The subject line has two words, "Read Now!", Kyle clicks on the e-mail and the message is displayed.
The e-mail is long, but he scans through it and finds what he wants to read from it.
"Hello, thank you for your interest to stop the old one known as Cthulhu. We are prepared to meet with you at a time and place of your choosing, please reply and give us an answer soon. Our society knows how to stop the blood of Cthulhu from taking over your body and soul, we have a few members that use rune magic to keep it under control. Kyle you are not alone in having Cthulhu choose you as one of his servants, some of our members were once under his control. Please reply to this e-mail ASAP."
The Society Of New
As Kyle reads the e-mail, he wonders if he is doing the right thing, with contacting this group for help with his problem. There is no turning back for him now, what is done is done, he must move forward to stopping his transformation to a servant of Cthulhu.
"God, what to do, I guess I have no choice, but to trust this group for the help I need," thinks Kyle.
He replies to the e-mail and chooses a place and time he is comfortable with.
"Okay, here is where I want to meet some of the members of your group; Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles. Time, 12:30pm. I hope that your members show up, I will give them half an hour to show, if they do not show. I will leave and find my own way to stop Cthulhu."
Kyle sends the e-mail and hopes that the members from the society will show up. He needs to get the blood of Cthulhu out of his system and quick, before he loses his mind and self. Kyle leaves his laptop on and goes to his bed, he tries to sleep, but finds it hard to even try. He lays in his bed staring at the ceiling and wonders the whys of everything that is happening to him.
Why was I chosen by Cthulhu, why me, what is so special about me?, he thinks as he finally falls asleep.
He sleeps for an hour and wakes up from another nightmare, this one worst than the one before. In the nightmare, he saw himself becoming just like Cthulhu, full of madness and evil. He saw as he helped enslave human kind and rule over them with Cthulhu. Kyle sits in his bed drenched in sweat, wondering if he will ever get a good nights sleep. His arm burns from where the needle had been placed, he sees the green blood flow from the puncher wound. The blood wraps around his arm and then reabsorbs back into his body. Laughter is heard in his room, the laughter of Cthulhu is loud.
Oh, God, no, NO!. Why does the old one not leave me alone, why? Kyle thinks as he sits in his bed.
Kyle gets out of his bed and heads for the bathroom, all the thoughts of what is happening, makes him nauseous. He stays in the bathroom for a few minutes and goes back to his laptop. He checks his mail and sees that the society has sent their reply.
"Place and time is okay with us. The members of our society that will meet you are; Jakob and Kara Salaz, they are brother and sister. They will meet you in Little Tokyo at the time you stated. Please believe that our society is here to help you and not hurt you in anyway."
As Kyle reads the e-mail, he feels relief wash over him and it gives him hope that he will stop Cthulhu. Now he must prepare to meet the members of the society tomorrow and see if they can give him the help he needs. He must also eat, he hasn't in many hours, Kyle goes to the kitchen and makes something to eat. As he does, he thinks of the two people he will meet soon, wonders if they will be nice or mean.
The names of the members, they sound familiar to me, where have I heard their names before, thinks Kyle.
Kyle sits at his kitchen table, as he thinks of what may happen soon, he can only pray he is free from Cthulhu's spell. He tries to eat, but he must force himself to, eating is the last thing he wants to do. What will happen? No one knows, not even Kyle. Will he get the help he is looking for? Not even I can answer that question. For now we'll leave Kyle in his kitchen, trying to eat his dinner.
