Report AbuseI have 3 tattoos. I got my first one in 1991 and my last one 5 years ago. I still like mine but like you I also planned mine long before I got each one. My advice would be mostly on content and location....It needs to be a tattoo that in 30 years you still like.... because they are forever. I put my first one on my shoulder in case I got tired of it, as I only had to see it if I looked in the mirror. My second one was on my ankle...got braver, it is harder to hide...the last on is on lower back (tramp stamp) they are addictive..lol...I also made sure mine had a theme that tied the three together so that they were artistically pleasing...You will enjoy the whole process from planning to getting and owning. They are sort of badges (rite of passage) representing tmes or events in your life.

Report AbuseWow! Thanks so much for your comments...I am so excited about this...especially like the 'rite of passage' line of thought, I think it will be cool to know it was for our 10th anniversary. As far as placement, am going between the shoulders, little lower than collar level as my work dictates tattoos must not be visible. How bad is the itching? lol.The design includes 2 tutrles and some water...has much meaning for us. thanks so much! love to hear from you!
