With Oliver Stone’s “W.” in theaters, the folks at Moviefone polled 1.1 million readers to elect their favorite on-screen president. If life were a movie, Harrison Ford would be ruling the White House, as he did in Air Force One. Morgan Freeman (Deep Impact) was a close runner up, while my personal favorite, the romantic Michael Douglas version (The American President), came in third.
How much influence does Hollywood have on reality? Moviefone editor-in-chief Scott Robson said, "I don’t know if Obama can say Morgan Freeman paved the way, but it hasn’t hurt."
