The Death of a Dream
user
I live my life out loud dying slowly in the silence
where nobody cares how my hurt heart screams.
Some people hear me talking, but they don't know what I mean,
so I dare souls to listen to the death of a dream.
Ev'ry agonizing moment as misery echoes pain
through the hardships of love left open wounds and stains.
If blood bleeds ev'rywhere, tell me how do I trace my past?
I slid forward so fast it was hard to pick out a path,
drippin' aftermath, but hardly a victim of circumstance.
I gave my life to change a world that never gave me a chance.

Report AbuseHey Michael, you are changing the world..you must believe it. Just keep up those human emotions called feelings through your poems, because you are healing yourself, and also helping others to get in touch with their own feelings of healing!
Your beginning your own transformation in life....and soon you will be filled with joy for living!
I know this cause just 4 years ago my poems resembled yours, and now those poems *which are on my website have reached & touched millions. And that is when you feel so good inside, and know that you are helping in the evolution of many peoples lives.

Report AbuseThank you for your kind words. That would be very nice to be able to reach millions, but to me it would be even more amazing to reach that one. The only one who has ever really mattered that calls to me from my heart. The only way to be great to me is by loving a great woman totally and completely causing love be born again and again and living inside every special moment. That is my dream and hopefully my reality. This is a very nice post by the way, even though I will have to stop back through and take my time to carefully appreciate the full magnitude of your work.
