The Extreme Candidate: or What our Media did not Cover in this Campaign

Sen. Barack Obama was and is the most extreme of Democratic candidates ever to run for President. Of course he won the nomination. The “extreme†has become the “norm†in the Democratic party. With the help of their media, the radicals of 1960s have become “mainstreamâ€, but their hatred of America never abated. Obama may be more extreme than McGovern, but unlike McGovern he is always covering up his real intent.  He basically lacks McGovern’s intellectual honesty. During the debates, he took extreme positions on Iraq withdrawal, abortion, Supreme Court, Gay and perversion rights and of course redistribution of wealth. He was proud of his long association with ACORN and Project Vote. When one has a thin resume one includes everything.

He has since publicly flipped flopped on almost all the issues, but can anyone believe him. His beliefs appear to be rooted in Marxism, nurture in him by Marshall Davis, Rev. Wright (liberation theology is a Marxist concept) and William Ayers. Here are some of the slips of the tongue which reflect his Marxist mind set:

His statement, that there are people who out of fear “cling to their  guns and religionâ€, is a paraphrasing of Lenin’s “religion is the opium of the peopleâ€. It also reveals Obama’s underlying atheist Marxist mind set. Needless to say, our blind and deaf watch dogs in the media missed the connection. His constant invoking of the phrase: “protecting the workers†seems to have not caught any one’s attention.  By the way, Lenin never worked a day in his life and Obama is not exactly palling around with “workers†either.

Here is another slip of the tongue, a quote from the third debate, that only Wall Street Journal noticed:

“OBAMA: Let me respond. Actually, I understand it pretty well. The history in Colombia right now is that labor leaders have been targeted for assassination on a fairly consistent basis and there have not been prosecutions.

And what I have said, because the free trade -- the trade agreement itself does have labor and environmental protections, but we have to stand for human rights and we have to make sure that violence isn't being perpetrated against workers who are just trying to organize for their rights…..â€

What everyone missed, is that  Obama was parroting HUGO CHAVEZ’S ranting this spring, when he threatened to invade Columbia to protect the “workersâ€. So far, not a single Republican politician has responded to this outrageous accusation against Pres. Uribe, one of the few friends we have left and who has been besieged by drug lords, death squads and leftist guerillas, which are supported by Chavez. The rest of statement is silly. McCain did not grasp this opportunity to expose Obama’s defense of FARC Marxist guerillas and his pseudo-marxist reasoning.

On health care, in spite of Sen. Obama’s denials, he did say that he is in favor of a single payer system, meaning National Health insurance, a most impractical program for the US . His “Health Care Plan†is essentially the first step in takeover of health care by the Federal Government. I don’t know if it will be constitutional, but Obama intends to use the Supreme Court in changing the constitution. It will be only a matter of time.  Politically, during the elections, proposing national health insurance may be helpful in winning the elections, but trying to implement it would be lunacy.

Most glaring omission on the part of the media is their inability to connect Sen. Obama’s tax proposal  to Congressman Charles Rangel’s “Tax Reform†bill. It is the same, but less intellectually honest. It is a wealth redistribution program, which is why the Democrats backed off from supporting Rangel with elections approaching. But, it will be back on the table come January if Obama wins. Essentially, it is redistribution of wealth. Rangel’s plan would have raised taxes since it would end the Bush Tax Cuts. I think that Rangel’s bill will be put on a table by Obama if he is elected.  I am surprised that no one has mentioned Clinton ’s tax on the “richâ€. After all the calculations and debates, he raised taxes on people making more than $45,000.

The silence in the media and from McCain camp on Gays in the Military is indeed deafening. Obama during the primary debates did not flinch and was in favor of eliminating the “don’t ask, don’t tell† policy although by now he probably has obfuscated it. Expect this to be the first blunder of Obama Presidency as it was in the Clinton Presidency.

On abortion and life issues, Barack Obama is he most extreme of all Senators, which is quite an accomplishment when one realizes who is in our Senate, notably Boxer, Leahy, Feinstein, Kennedy etc. Barack Obama is on record that he will never name a jurist who could or would oppose Roe vs Wade. Secondly, more important he is a co-sponsor of the “Freedom of Choice†bill in the Senate. That bill forbids States from putting any limits on abortions, such as parental notification, or reporting of instances of incest or child rape. And of course, Barack Obama always had a problem of telling when life begins and approves of killing babies who survive abortions. Here is a guy who refers to a live child outside mother’s body as a “pre-viable fetus†meaning that the abortionist did not have a chance to kill but soon will. Such extremism and total disregard for ethical standards of our society seems to have been completely ignored.

Finally, Senator Obama’s comments on the Supreme Court should have sounded all kinds of alarms but seem to have fallen on deaf ears. He unabashedly stated that no jurist who may oppose abortion rights will be nominated. That is a litmus test which many Demcrats have used for the past thirty years. But what is more troubling is his comment that he will name judges that will interpret the constitution to protect the “poor and the oppressedâ€. It is apparent that he views the Court as an obstacle to his social and political agenda and plans to “change†it and use it to advance his social agenda.

He obviously has no intention of using the constitutional  provision for amending it, and intends to use a shortcut, a hand picked Supreme Court.  For the vast majority of Americans our Constitution is not an obstacle, but a source of solutions for our problems and  a protector of our liberties. To the far left liberty is what the government wishes to give the people and not what our Constitution guarantees. This should have been the number one issue in this campaign, but it has been totally ignored by the Democrat friendly media and to lesser extent by the more conservative media.

It is with trepidation that I await the coming of  the Age of Obama.
