THE NEVER ENDING FIGHT FOR FREEDOM AND EQUALITY

I was up last night watching the news as usual and Tom Joyner
was on telling a story about hundreds of acres left by his
family in Columbus where his mother fled and settled in Florida.
What caught my attention was the reason the family left. Tom Joyner
Great Uncles was accused of murdering a white man who in actuality
was killed by a Pimp. The White man was sleeping with a black
Prostitute and things went down and they didnt want the white mans
name smeared but they EXECUTED HIS UNCLE BY LEGAL ELECTROCUTION FOR
A CRIME THEY DID NOT COMMIT. What bothers me the most is this
has continued to happen and Whos to say they would have ever left
the town if they were not wrongly accused. They were rich and I
believe this was an effort to seize the land. The family needs an
apology and land in Columbus due to the wronging of the Family and
their name.

Report AbuseI blogged a poem called, " Can You See," about this same struggle. I see it everytime I walk outside where I live and it still hurts to see it as well as hear about it. I hope things workout for Tom Joyner and his Family.
