The perfect snow!

Today, we awoke to the perfect snow.  3 inches on the grass, roads and walks wet only (ground temps too warm to stick to pavement).  My hubby and son got the outdoor lights and decor up yesterday, and we put up the tree tonight.  We got the garland and the angel up, then relaxed in front of the fire.  Tomorrow night, we finish ornaments and get the nativity and mantel done and then "voila"  enjoy!

Here's hoping you're all filled with the holiday spirit!  I hope that Santa fills your grown up Christmas list.  Mine includes health for my family, and little things like peace on earth.  What's on yours?

Hi, I just got done decorating inside the house,we'll do the outside tomorrow. My daughter turns 17 tomorrow too. We didn't get so much snow here just little flurries that didn't stick.:(

My Christmas wish would be that those without jobs find one, that the war ends soon and soldiers come home soon and I just want health, happiness and peace in everyone's families.

    Dear Teachergirl,

We tackled the outside lights this afternoon and did the inside tonight. I am trying to downsize my decorations. I just can't seem to resist buying more every year. Last year the containers were so heavy we had to use commercial straps!!!! Sooo, I sorted and sorted, the excess goes to a Thrift shop whose proceeds go to a childrens home. Rumor has it that my sweet Luther comes home tomorrow so we want to be all decorated and full of Holiday Cheer. My Christmas list is simple, restored health for Luther, finally a job for my son and a warm and wonderful Christmas. Here is my wish for your Christmas to be bright and blessed,Love Irish

A winter wonderland - how beautiful! I also finished my decorating and I'm so impressed with how good my little one is behaving around the tree. He's only 22 months, but he isn't trying to knock it over, so he's growing up a bit.

My wishes are for health, the Lord's blessing on our nation, and for people to stop and appreciate the joy of the season and not become overwhelmed by their "to-dos".

    God bless, Teachergirl.
