the results of war (a poem)

the shots are fired,
the men go down,
the land is ablaze,
and so is the town.

the rivers of blue,
now turn to red,
with the blood of two thousand and seventy men.

the children they cry,
the women they weep,
for the husbands and daddys,
they've lost in defeat.

the war has ended,
but the memories remain,
in the graveyard of people,
the enemy has slain.
