Totalitarianism on Yahoo? Say it ain't so!

user

I have a HUGE gripe with this site so far.  I have noticed that EVERYTIME I comment in one of the writers blogs, my comments never MAKE the blog, or they are deleted.  I have commented in several of featured blog writers peices here on Yahoo Shine but I have noticed my comments either never make the blog or get deleted.

One author had it coming by calling out Christian Bale in the way she titled her blog as if people aren't smart enough to read between the fine lines.  Well, Yahoo, if you think that American net users are still dumb enough to NOT realize that the media loves to control and shove ideas down the masses throats, wake up!

Just because someone says something that is contrary to the flow of ones blog or what THEY would want said, isn't that the process of freedom of speech being exercised?  I don't curse, I don't harrass people, I don't badger them.  I sometime have a very sharp tongue and I'm not going to sugar coat it because sometimes authors, repliers and bloggers need to hear the truth either about their subject material or themselves.

If Yahoo is going to start control everything that comes down the pipe, why not gun for people who make blogs for absolutely no reason at all except to waste precious bandwidth?  At LEAST us smart, sharp, witty and blunt people have things to say that shape someone else's thought process as opposed to this osmotic "Read what I wroooooooooooooote....it's the right way to thinnnnnnnnnnnnk" process.

It's sad that people get degrees only to lord over a process that doesn't even concern them at the end of the day.  Many of you bloggers do the exact same things you criticize stars and everyday citizens for.  But make a story about yourSELF?  Oh neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Yahoo said we can rant right?  Let's see how far THIS rant gets because everytime I have something to say, it gets slammed unless I dress it up like a Barbie doll and package it so Curly Sue and Barbara Jean wants it.  I love to blog.  I do it everyday just about on other sites and this site is WAY more controlling than I have seen others.

Is it the exposure Yahoo has?  The all seeing eye got cha guys running from "certain" bloggers or posters?  Or do you just plain outright wanna maintain an image not many people care about anyway?

Ok, I'm done.  I type way too fast when I drink Starbucks so I need to get back to doing what I was originally....writing a song for my gig next weekend.

get a grip some of you Yahoo authors....you're not the toast of the town.

Well I disagree that you dont say things that shouldnt be said, but agree you have a sharp tongue, on the question the girl asked about dying her hair you made a pretty rude and uncalled for immature comment. So maybe the things you have said got deleted because they were offensive and they reported you?

I have never made a rude comment to anyone about hair die...what are you talking about? I remember what I said to that girl and is was NOT rude. If it's up to individuals to interpret what "rude" and "uncalled for immature" comments are, then no one should have that power because everyone says something that rubs people the wrong way....that's a part of adjusting to people. It was not a comment to tear her down. So what's your point again..Ms Ocean Girl? I guess folks take things "personal" is what you're saying and that's allowed...even as moderators. Hrmmmm...

Really CB, I can't relate to most of what you listed- it has not happened to me. But,just tonight,I responded to a blog, clicked on post comment and I was informed page had been moved--to where? When I went back, even the bloggers name had been deleted. Now,what is that? I really do not understand. Are they just being suspended? I did report a blogger who's comments were gross--to me and several other people commented on the same person. If my blog does not relate in any way to sex and the comment is very sexual in language and content- then yes,I am offended. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech--- which lately this freedom's definition has been stretched to the breaking point.Perhaps people need to exercise greater use of the english language to express themselves without reducing themselves to vulgar, rude comments. Ok,so this finishes my rant---sorry to have dumped on you.It just needed to be said.

Irish, I agree with what you're saying and that's why I'm upset. I don't break people down like that. I reply to what was said and that's simply it. I have noticed if it's not in the interest of the blogger, it's getting flushed. And it has nothing to do with me saying anything dergading or anything. This is "Pleasantville" treatment. lol...but if someone is cursing or saying something to degrade someone, then by all means ditch him/her...because I have seen it here.

A girl was asking about dying her hair and if she needed to dye her eyebrows to match- your comment to her asked if she was going to dye her private area...which wasnt really anyones business but hers and others also commented back that it was out of line, just stating a fact that no one really wanted to know or should be asking her that question, so yeah it was rude to ask and not just from my perspective.
