What is the difference between Jahovah's and Mormons?

  I'm Catholic but, it was a good question. I never new the difference.

  My best friend is a Jehovah. She always tries to get me to study with her but, I do from my bible. I guess that is my level of comfort.

  my mother was a devout Catholic for years before she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. It has changed her life. I'm studying now and really enjoy what I'm learning about them...because it's all from the Bible, not a man's mouth...which is how all religion should be. But to each his/her own.

  MORMON ARE FAMILY ORINTED,THE ONLY CHURCH WHO HAS THEIR OWN WELFARE SYSTEM,MOST KIDS ARE HOME SCHOOLED,IF SOME ONE IN TROUBLE IN THE TOWN,DONT MATTER WHAT RELIGION THEY ARE THERE FOR THEM,FUNITURE,FOOD,RENT,REBUILDING A HOME,AND NOT A WORD OF OBLIGATION.

  no name are u some kind of idoit? jehovahs witnesses bible has not been translated thousands of times. and they do not force u to become of religion with them they just ask and if u accept then u get a free bible study. i know becouse my mother is a witness and after i decided to stop going to the meetings with her i have not been pressured to go back. and if u didnt know jehovahs witnesses build their own kingdom halls(the places they go to worship the only true god) and they help people out when they are in need. just recently i know of a sister who came her from the dominican republic to bring goods back down there for the poor people who need help. and another thing u cant belong to jehovahs witnesses if u belong to another religion because before u get baptized they make u sever any ties u may have with any church. please dont speak on jehovahs witnesses unless u actually know what u are talking about!!!!! and cb thank u for clearn up the misundrestandings people have about this religion and hopefully one day i can break free of my current lifstyle and start studing again soon.

  actually if any body would do research on these things the truth would be told. Jehovah witness (yes it's an e not an a. wickapedia) were started in the late 1800's but was not established until 1920. Both are not the same by far, yes they wear ties and come to your door. Luckily for me it is illegal here in my state to do so.. PUSHING RELIGION. Can't do it in school's so they can't come to my door. That i will tell at the end. The fact is though that straying, that jehovah's witness do in fact have their own bible ( funny i know) most cults do. Their belief system is not anywhere near christian, in fact no blood transfusions this is seen as sacrifice. Of course no organs if needed. Psychic's are the devil when the fact is every profhet in the bible fortold the future Jesus's birth, death, budda, Moses, shall i go on.? These bibles are seen as how it really was in their eyes, they have taken the bible twisted it to suite them, not even a 100 years it is therefore a cult. Sorry. issues with religion in general so i do alot of research. It was Charles Taze Russel that founded the group in 1879. Their first bible is The New World Translation" and the names of the translators are kept for the most part secret, but those who did is known for NO KNOWLEDGE of Greek or Hebrew translation... Editing the bible would be what cults do.... You also have a belief system that states back to our bible to lure you in GOD is not a trinity it is a whole, jesus was killed on a stake to their translation but it was used the word for not only that word but cross, tree, or pole. Think how our language is now and what uh could have meant at a certain time. lol But this is speaking of brutal punishment rather than the prolonged suffering he sacrificed for us. And if a pole than it would have been quick rather than a period of days..The name is in fact what has been heard but you bow down, we're not EQUAL... And in the bible it states this name shall never be spoken. Actually it was YHWH and JHVH to make it out we put vowel's in JeHoVaH. Which they celebrate that day the death not the rising, funny huh They believe 140,000 will go to heaven and 144,000 will stay on earth in paradise. While the rest burns. I always thought it was only 144,000 in the bible revelations. and 2 million members have been claimed. They believe that they receive conversations with GOD daily... And each one is capable. NO holiday's cause if you think of someone besides yourself than you are greedy actually thats sarcasimn but to think of yourself is to them like b-days x-mas etc. I thought we didn't buy for ourselves man i knew i should have kept the mp3 player for myself... lol my b-day is x-mas all i ask for is smiles.... I could go on forever about it. really issues with that ex husband is in the last year is a claimer.... Ruined what life my kids did have with him. So now mormon's belief system has been around for alot longer technically we could say all religions are cults for putting the idea's in our heads to begin with but some people need more than what they can see. Nevermind we are energy as any other thing here proved in science and in the bible it states not a form but a bright light brighter than the sun when it refer's to GOD ENERGY.. thats the stars our planet all things. but thats pushing my beliefs. Which is in fact what Joseph Smith seen the day he claims of GOD speaking to him and isn't that what the prophets did write down GOD's word and no it's not contradicting. Jehovah's witness speak daily and he speaks back to 2million people This is one man bringing back FAITH the book of Mormon's is what he supposidly was given like the prophet's in the bible and so he was given golden plates with the 'word' on it and translated by Joseph claiming GOD led him in this. 1827 is when that was 3 years later the book of his hearings were published. That same year he put together JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS..... this earned the title prophet until 1844, he wasw arrested for tresan and murdered by a mob. Jewish cabalistic traditions and Masonic order can be found amongst his writings. they see GOD having body and flesh They also believe that depending how good you are here during "probation" that you can then become a god in afterlife. they really don't see that far off from christianity Most religions don't when you break the gap is when it is a cult. And all religion is based solely on faith not on the bible. So like i said before all religions are cults in a way. None can be proven as a fact just time period history artifacts. Is any religion right? Is my question. And really any other religion has flaws the difference is that Jehovah's witness twist and lie about what we already have read to bring you into faith alone. Society is what tells us how to live in the bible, society then and now. Can't we all just have common sense and treat each other good?.... But they are ready for us to die Jehovah's have claimed certain dates to which the COMING would be so far all wrong and they keep coming up with another date. SCARE TACTICS is what i call that. SAD!!!! Mormons may not be right in past beliefs and poligomy is wrong and not heard of anymore with that religion. Does that make anyone want to shoot the POPE down cause we all know Catholics have SINNED. those groups are being taken down by federal GOV. so they work out the kinks. Just like any other but Joseph was a prophet in their eyes Charles Russell just someone who came up and twisted words. Are they so wrong to want to believe in GOD (mormon's)? And Jehovah's witness is just wrong in the name they give their follower's say's blasfamy to begin with. WE ARE NOT ON FIRST NAME BASIS WITH OUR CREATOR. However you believe................... Any more questions I will be more than happy to try and answer.. Cause there really is so much more in difference. Sorry i don't know you but all intrigued me

  And i believe solely in GOD no religion been through to many to say any is right just FAITH alone is all we need. And energy is a big factor in my beliefs. My mother was a pennecostal, I've been through babtist on and all come down to that one thing FAITH that something is greater than us

  Most people in these religions have no clue about the facts and it hurts if anyone has legal documentation of these religions i would love to see them.... But I have done my studies alot more than the people claiming they know... your being brainwashed sorry....... And a sacrifice is when you kill for a higher being not when someone dies and says here take my organ that will get ate up by maggots. And blood transfusions is someone willing to give just enough, not to much. So where is sacrifice sounds to me giving people thinking of other's before themselves. Putting another life before your own without suicide THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE LIFE Which thiat is what Jehovah's witness believe My daughter has heart implants and lifetime surgeries thank you all that do her life is well and happy...........
