When we must let our babies grow up!

Today was a hard day for me. My daughter entered High School. She is officially a Freshman. She was very nervous, but mom was on the protective mode.

I knew this day was going to get here, but am i wrong to wish she was a baby again. I cannot beleive that she is 15, let alone in High School now. She is already telling me she wants to get a work permit and work to save money for a car. It seems like yesterday she was just beginning to walk.

Needless to say i survived this day. But after she headed off this morning, i cried just like i did when she entered Pre-K. I did feel better after she got home and was so excited about how "Cool" high school is.

So if there are any other mothers out there who have a hard time with their babies growing up, know that you are not alone.

I have to let her spread her wings, but i will just do it a little at a time.

Missed all of you! Just been a busy time for me!!

Look foward to hearing from all of you

Straight my oldest turned 17 July 26 this year. That whole day off and on I cried. It was so hard for me and to this day I could not tell you why. His dad kept saying what is wrong with you? You knew that he was going to grow up.

However, I did know this, but I still couldn't explain it to my heart.

I really missed you straight, and I hope that you are okay.

Sf: My youngest is entering as a Senior in High School. I never once cried when my three boys got on the bus for Kindergarten, but I am definitely feeling the syndrome of the emptiness coming. I am, as you, a nurturer, as most mothers, but what a feeling sending a girl to High School. I can't imagine.

You put a tear in my eye and that's a good thing.

The other eye is tearing because Kevin's tuition if he doesn't get the scholarship is $52, 000, out of pocket. But I am confident!!!!!! So is my bank account.

Straight the tazer will need to be re-charged. Caught my 15 year old in a big lie today. I had told her that I did not want her to buy those cheap colored contact lenses. I get home today, my child has gray eyes. I guess that she thinks that I am to old to notice, the color of her eyes. Then she said that her cousin gave them to her. Another lie, she let him drive her to the store and bought them. First, I never gave her permission to leave the house. Then when I was questioning the cousin, she texted him, and told him to lie along with her. I saw the text when he pulled it up on his phone. I guess he is dumb too, not to think that I would be able to read.

Anyhoo, I took her phone, and I am in the process now of trying to think of the worst way possible to punish her for all of this lying. Without going to jail that is. Want to buy a 15 year old?

Pray for me, because her neck fits perfectly in my hands. yuk yuk

    Straight,

I remember those tears!! When my kids went to high school, I started out to be a wreck, but I survived it.

Think how I feel. My oldest grandchild is now a junior in High school. Today was her first day.

We shall hold each other up, when needed and encourage each other always. Remember that!!
