Which TV shows need to be passed down through the generations?

When we heard a "Seinfeld" bus was currently on tour visiting college campuses it occurred to us--do these kids even watch or appreciate "Seinfeld"? If not, it may be time to take advantage of syndication and introduce one of the best TV shows ever to a new generation. Here's our list of the 17 programs we'd love to pass down through a TV viewing time capsule.
    • Seinfeld
    • Dallas
    • I Love Lucy
    • Sesame Street
    • Mary Tyler Moore
    • The Oprah Winfrey Show
    • The Cosby Show

Personaly, out of all your choises, I LOVE LUCY!

    Nothing like the old days!

Sure the times have changed, but so has alot of our standards and morals!

We should get back to good things and pleasant times. Maybe our future

children will be kinder, more responsible!

Even us so called Grown Folk!

Living Single, which came out before Friends and Sex and the City (check the air dates if you don't believe me). It showed 4 women and 2 men living a normal life in Brooklyn, NY with all the ups and downs of life.

Definitly The Waltons, I think a little gentle family stories could be a good thing for all of us. Also MASH, in our time, with our problems we need to remember what makes us good humans.

What about Friends? Seinfeld and Friends, in my opinion should be tied for first place. They're both amazing shows, that will never be forgotten. How could you not add Friends to that list? It was the show of all shows to watch.

Great choices! They give a nice slice of Americana.

I do wonder why Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons weren't on the list. Also, what about The Brady Bunch, for the blended family scenario?

I actually don't like that many shows on the list. I do agree with Sesame Street, the Cosby show and Jeopardy.

I'd add M*A*S*H, the original Muppet show, the Waltons, Happy Days, and Good Times to the list.

I also agree with Kitten that Living Single was a great show. It was laugh out loud funny and just as good as Friends.

Good Times was the best!! I still watch it on some of the cable channels or on Dish Network.
