Why J.Lo says her marriage is a-ok

After weeks of rumors and speculation that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s marriage is on the rocks, J.Lo was spotted without her wedding ring at the Golden Globe awards. But she claims the absense of jewelry carries little value. . "Every time I'm not wearing my ring, people think I'm getting divorced," says Jennifer. "That's crazy! It just didn't go with the dress."

While some people don’t like to mix silver and gold (J.Lo wore a golden gown with a plunging neckline and her wedding band is platinum), that shouldn’t have prevented her from wearing the ring last month to the “Benjamin Button” premiere when her dress was white.

"Divorce is not—and was never—an option," Jennifer insists. Is this a tad hypocritical for a woman who is on her third marriage? Something seems fishy. And while we’d love J.Lo’s relationship to be steady, especially with her twins still under a year old, this is exactly the type of blatent denials we saw not too long ago from Madonna about her marriage. Looks like only time will tell.

Do you think there’s more to this story than a clashing wedding ring? I thought the ring was a symbol of love and committment? Maybe when you're rich, it's a different story. Most normal people I know would never remove their wedding rings because they didn't match their outfit. What a freak.

Did his ring not match his suit, because he wasn't wearing his either.

That's absurd. But even worse is the constant tabloid speculation. Must be rough.

Oh please, people! My parents have been happily married for 27 years, and my Mom hasn't worn a wedding ring in over 15 years. My Dad has never even HAD a wedding ring. Marriage isn't about jewelry, its about love. A missing ring doesn't mean missing happiness. Maybe that big honking rock was getting heavy!

Good response LydiaMarie. Some people believe that the jewelry makes the marriage and those are the same people whose marriage probably won't last because their spouse didn't say I love you. Actions speak louder than words. As far as Jennifer, she looks happy to me; she looks happier with Marc, than them other losers.
