I asked my Biology
Teacher is it impossible if
four animals of the same species living in the same enviroment for
many years, raised by one parent, could develop different
personalities. She said it might be possible. I was
wondering because I was watching a few Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
movies (1990's) and it got me curious; four domestic
turtles from a pet shop, living in the sewers with a rat, they all
eat pizza, and yet each one develops a personality; Leonardo being
responsible, Rapfael acting like a tough dude,
Donatello the smart dude, and Michaelagelo...a party
animal.
I know they're
just movies but those movies inspired me to think up this
scientific question, plus I remember my teacher talking about
animal behaviors/socialization in an environment/population. And it
is a good exmaple.
