One of your favorite celebs, Will Smith, and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith are opening private school New Village Academy this fall.  While the school will use study technology, the instructional methods of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, the couple claim the facility has no religious affiliation. "We are a secular school, and just like all nonreligious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at school or pass on the beliefs of their particular faith to children," says New Village Academy director Jacqueline Olivier. Despite the fact Will and Jada are attached at the hip to Tom Cruise and Scientology-bot Katie Holmes, they insist they are not Scientologists. Several teachers on board at the school are however are members of the church. As for classes, students can expect yoga, robotics and etiquette in addition to traditional courses.

Nope. Because those people are so over the top in their beliefs, that it's bound to sneak thru, regardless of what they say.

I agree. I hesitate to draw a conclusion based on a *possible* religious affiliation. I would need to know more about the curriculum, instructors, etc. before passing any judgments.

I have been to the site in Manhattan it was different the staff was outstanding. I went there when I was at a low point it helped I just hadn't the chance to make it back, but as a whole I believe if that model that committed sucide yesterday as young and talented as she was if she had visit she would be here with us today. I don't think its' about power and control over you I think it's about power and control over yourself that's what i got from that one visit that's the reason I hadn't made it back I have been getting it together. Yesssssssss

A lot of hearsay abuot Will and Jada. Where is the proof? I need alittle more to go on then just what is printed in the media (like they tell the whole truth). I would also have to have more information about the school in order to make an informed decision.

NO, I would totally disagree with the decision of sending a child to such a school. In fact, I will not want to send a child to any school whose curriculum is not in accordance with a true religion. Because, only religion tells us the way to live life in a right way, not scientology. God has made this world and has told the way to live a life as well. A true religion tells the way to live life in the best way. So anything which is not in accordance with the teachings of a true religion is not right. We just have to identify that true religion, learn its teachings, try to practice it and the rest will be done by God. I am not totally against scientology but my point is that we can not rely on scientology but on a true religion because scientific developments are made by human beings which can make mistakes and on the other hand a true religion is directly from God therefore it can not have flaws.
