3 baby shower gift ideas for parents who have everything

Marie from Kansas City needs a baby-shower gift, stat! "My co-worker is having her third child, and I have no idea what present to bring to her shower," Marie explains. "She already has all the typical baby stuff, and I don't want to give her useless clutter. Help!"

Here are three shower gifts for the mom (and, soon, baby) who has everything...

Brass is big these days. You could find a sweet brass figurine, like this whale, which would look lovely on a nursery bookshelf or cheer up the family living room.

A growing family can't have too many pillows. How about this soft square covered with vintage fabric?

This adorable stuffed animal will make fast friends with the new baby; plus, this fabric giraffe looks lovely to adult eyes, too.

Yes, I was going to suggest a super-cute, unique, stuffed toy. There's a million of them on Etsy. That would be a great gift.

My suggestion is to look for something organic or made of a sustainable material. Happy Green Baby at http://www.happygreenbaby.com/non-toxic-baby-toys.html has tons of suggestions for toys that are safe and not expensive!

It was my understanding growing up you only get a baby shower for the first child. Why if she has everything would she need another shower?

I thought you said no useless clutter? What would anyone do with a bronze whale?? How about a gift certificate for a pregnancy massage, or offer to babysit the other two kids so she can have a night off?

My friends and I are having a Diaper shower for a friend who is having her 2nd. We all plan to bring diapers of different sizes, wipes, etc.
