A Toddler That Won't Sleep!!!!
Hey everyone. I have a 3 year old that will not take naps in the daytime, and that gives a hard time to go sleep at night. I have tried all that Johnson's Bedtime Bath products, I tried Camamile tea, I tried that Sleepytime tea, and nothing. I felt that since she has been home with me everyday, that she gets bored playing with her toys and need to be around other kids her age. My husband and I have placed her in child care (she just started on Monday), in which she is running around playing, learning and meeting new friends. I would think that she would be too pooped to pop once she gets home and eats dinner and takes a bath, but nothing works. The only way she goes to sleep is if we hold her and walk around with her til she eventually falls asleep. But when it's time to put her in the bed, she wakes right back up and won't stay down in the bed, she would scream to the top of her lungs and you have to start the holding and walking process all over again. She has always slept on her own and then all of a sudden for the past 3 weeks this is happening. We haven't had a good night's sleep in about a month and I don't know what else to do. I would appreciate any advice you can give. HELP!!!!!

Hi Boo! I have 3-year-old as well, know exactly how you feel without the naps.
How long has your daughter been in hew new childcare situation? And how long has she been having trouble going to sleep at night?

ya Boo, the first response you have is a good question. If the daycare and the sleep problem started about the same time, it could be she is afraid of being away from you so much. When you add the daycare and then being asleep all night its a lot for her not to be seeing her mommy. Try cutting back on the daycare of you can, to a couple days a week and see if that helps.
- hope you ALL get some sleep
