ASK DR KATE! Please help Dr Kate!

okay, I wanna know if having longer than normal, about 6 months, periods can effect ur ability to have children, or get pregnant. am i releaseing a egg everytime im supposed to stop my period but i dont? will it lessen my chances of getting pregnant? i dont want a baby for a couple years, but i defenitly want one in the future. if u read the Dr kate will you plz answer my questions. thanks soo much. ive seen my doctor and she put me on hormone pills, then took me off of them, put me on birth control, then took me off it. i havent talked to her about worrying if i can have kids or not, but.... idk. i dont wanna wake up and find out that its too late. u know what i mean? so if you have an answer it would be greatly appreatiated. Thank you sooo much!

    well im sure, what ive read, that taking you on and off a medication will effect your period but wont ruin your chance of having childern. i might not know im just going off off what i think i know

    Having periods for longer than 6 months is not normal! You need to see a Doctor and you need to ask them the questions, not people who you dont know. As for having a baby, I hope you are preparing yourself physically and mentally to deal with the life changing events that you will go through. Bringing a child into this world is not a joke and it takes work and lots of love and protection if you want to be a respectable parent. Once you have a child it will not be about you anymore so think about what you are doing...
