Crafty mamas help their kids make...fake Halloween snot

If you're only going to do one crafty thing this Halloween and your kids appreciate wicked, gross humor, then this is your project: make fake snot.

Three things to buy: Borax powder, non-toxic Elmer's glue and food coloring (you may have the latter on hand). The rest is already in your kitchen.

It takes about 10 minutes to make the fake snot, which is really just a twist on homemade gak. But the snot, of course, has a more gelatinous look and feel. Not that I'm a booger expert.

You'll need the full instructions here to make your fake snot. And if you do take on this project with your kids (or perhaps to scare your kids?), please write about it and post photos!
