Check out these ideas for Father's Day gifts that cost less than $20.
iPod Retro Mini Speaker. If Pops has an iPod, add a little kid fun to it with this cute (yet manly) Lego inspired mini-speaker. It's tiny and puts off decent sound. The best part? No batteries required...it pulls its energy from the iPod. It's US$19.95 at delight.com. (via Cool Mom Picks).
5x7 Father's Day Casual Book. Photo books are fantastic gifts for any occasion. Make a book with just photos of the kids and their dad or grandpa. You could even make one book that works for both dad and grandpa...just don't forget to order more than one copy. Let the kids pick the photos and write a story to add an even more memorable gift. Shutterfly's books are easy to make and are really good quality materials (read: they'll last). The 5x7 books sell for US$12.99 for 20 pages.
11-Tools-in-1 Stainless Steel Credit Card Survival Tool. Seriously, this has to be one of the neatest little gadgets. It's a can opener, knife, screwdriver, ruler, bottle opener, wing-nut tool, saw blade, 4-size wrench, auxiliary wrench, 2 position wrench and key-chain hole. Can I have one? It sells for US$3.99 online. (via Mighty Junior)
A car litter bag. Hear me out. If you know a dad that likes practical gifts, this is it. Who doesn't want a clean car? These cool fabric bags are compact and perfect for small litter that tends to creep around cars with kids inside. Check out this Etsy seller and pick patterns from sports teams to robots. Hand-made goodness for US$15. (Maybe you can convince her to make a custom-bag?)
What are some of your favorite purchased Father's Day gifts that don't cost a fortune?

Report AbuseLast year he loved a magnet I made him from scrapbooking materials. Says worlds best dad from newspaper letters. Also, a two dollar photo frame for the fridge (walgreens) with a border reading " I love my daddy" and a photo of our son and him. This dude's cool. He also loves homemade cards from his kids. awww. (and easy).
This year, though...?

Report AbuseEvery dad is different, early bed and time alone with the wife might be what he wants. Maybe not for yours Diane, but in this busy world, time away with you might be what he wants. But it is up to you to know who your honey is and what he wants.

Report AbuseAs a father I would like to hang out with my son, throw something on the grill, and just hang out. The oil and baseball games could be added bonuses for working hard and providing the rest of the year.
