Today a blogger came across
these photos of Miley's younger sister, nine-year-old Noah
Lindsay Cyrus, and her pal/co-star, Emily Grace Reaves, at pool
party/red carpet event. Yes, nine is a wee bit young for these
types of activities (the event was a birthday party in honor of a
19-year-old celeb), but as the youngest of the Cyrus family,
we're sure Noah has had loads of practice attending swanky
soirées. And look, she poses for the camera, reveals skin, piles on
the eyeliner, and guzzles Red Bull just like the best of 'em!

This is Hollywood now: stars are being introduced to fame at a
younger and younger age. There have always been child stars, but
instead of having a fan base of kids, these young celebrities are
being pushed into the spotlight, splattered across the pages of
tabloids, and attending parties and wearing provocative clothing
inappropriate for their age. It used to be teens and tween, but
look at Noah Cyrus--she's not even 10 yet!
We have to wonder, are
parents losing control? Where is Billy Ray, that he's allowing
his young daughter to drink a high energy drink, loaded with
ridiculously high levels of caffeine and sugar? Allowing your
daughter to put on makeup and play dress up with a friend at home
is one thing, but letting her pose in a bathing suit and eyeliner
on a red carpet event for the whole world to see seems slightly
irresponsible. Where is the buffer? Where is the safe shelter for a
young girl by her parents? If Noah is allowed and even encouraged
to behave like this at nine, where will she be at 16, the age of
her older sister Miley?
Another thing to think about: these girls idolize their famous
older siblings, who realistically, haven't developed the best
reputations. Ali Lohan has said she wants to be like big sister
Lindsay, who is surrounded with rumors of promiscuity, eating
disorders, drinking and drugs, and even arrests and trips to rehab.
Ali now parties with Lindsay and her mother, even though she is
only 15--way below the 21-years-of-age club admittance. Jamie Lynn
Spears desired to follow in the footsteps of big sister Britney,
and though she is a singer and had a hit TV show, she too partied,
and had a baby by the age of 17.
If Noah says her dream is to
be like her big sister Miley, who has already by the age of 16 been
involved in multiple racy photo scandals and maturing at warp
speed, we fear for this little 9-year-old's life in Hollywood.
Billy Ray: your youngest daughter is now in the spotlight. It's
time to step up the parenting skills and stay alert!
