Health stuff that matters to parents: We break it down for you
editor
There's a flurry of health
information and research and sites out there, all packed full of
lists and facts and resources you need to know. And, hello! You
have lunches to pack and science fair displays to help build and
cloth diapers to soak and outrageously expensive strollers to save
up for and twelve DVR-ed episodes of "Lost" to catch up
on. Not to worry. We've got what you want to know right here in
five easy clicks.
- Can your kids know
too much about eating healthy? In the
age of great concern about childhood obesity, all kinds of toxins
in foods, and play dates where organic cheese puffs and soy milk
are normal snacks, are we overcompensating by giving our children
too much information about eating well? Or is talking to kids about
things like high fructose corn syrup just a part of educating a
healthier generation these days?
We want to know how you handle healthy habits in your
family.
- Do you have to spend a million dollars and consume a
gajillion calories at the movies? Of course not. If you
can't bear to sneak PB&J sandwiches in your purse the next
time you take the kids to the movie theater,
here's how to make your snack fix a bit
healthier.
