List of Powerful Mothers

user

Mothers are Powerful

Long ago I wished there was support for mothers like myself, going through a bitter divorce and custody battle to empower mothers to have it all. Mothers empowering mothers. My dream to empower mothers, and all women has become realized when I had the distinct pleasure of encouraging and supporting other mothers through my story of being a successful mother against the odds.

Taking it a step further, after years of friends and family encouraging me to ‘just write a book already’, that is what I started to do. So besides my writing articles and blogs, I am going to compile it all together and:  ’Having It All, Women without Borders’ will be born.

However, in my research I discovered there is hardly anything out there on the web talking about ‘Powerful Mothers’. There is a lack of representation of Mothers who can have it all. (just Google, ‘Powerful Mothers’)

I believe it is important to represent mothers as a force to empower other women who want to be mothers, and mothers of all ages to eventually lessen the degree of depression, and support mothers who feel helpless or need encouragement while raising their families alone or with a partner. So many mothers in the world go through ups and downs, good and bad days, and need to know that it is okay. We are all human, and this list shows the variety in which we come. Some have overcome harrowing experiences, and destructive behavior…but overcame it and succeeded. Mothers should be encouraging other mothers, not bringing them down.

This list was compiled based on one equality, being a mother and doing something empowering with your life or others, and raising a family at the same time. However it is done, whether you may agree with it or not, these women are all mothers and are doing it. Some are controversial, some conservative, some out right outlandish. It is not about judging the woman based on morality. (I have excluded women who have put their children in danger, or themselves and have been legally accused of doing such publicly.)

Please feel free to comment, if you agree or disagree is up to you. I have been getting recommendations and referrals for mothers to be added. So far I have fifty more that have not been added yet. Please forward this link in order to spread the word about powerful mothers. I have a feeling that this list will grow without limit, and that is my hope.

What is ‘Having it All’ for me.

The first reaction I suspect that anyone reading that I am ‘Having it All’ is: ‘Good for you. Now go jump off a bridge.’ lol. I suspect that to be true. Why? Because it is human nature. Here’s where I am coming from, I am working on having it all, and so can you. This is about the JOURNEY of having it all. This is about the struggles, the sacrifices, the mentality, the ownership and the results for having it all. Anyone can have it all. And it will look different to every single person. What is looks like to me could sharply contrast what it looks like for you. But, one thing is for sure: who wouldn’t want to have it all? I think one of the definitions of having it all would be: freedom to be, freedom of expression.

Materialism could fall into this, goals, achievements, acknowledgments, personal interest, world wide accomplishments, human challenges, I could go on and on. Having it all is a state of mind. You say it, you own it.
